Our Shared Values: Fairness, Dignity & Respect
We are successful because we are a diverse and talented team, who work together effectively. We show each other respect and behave with integrity always, to ensure our own and the dignity and feelings of our co-workers is not compromised.
Society and workplaces are populated by a diverse mix of people from many different age groups, health status’, races, religions, beliefs, genders, sexual orientations, family and parenthood status’ and physical form.
Many groups rightly have protection in law from unfair or inappropriate behaviour being targeted towards them. Unfair or inappropriate behaviour could mean discrimination, victimisation, harassment, bullying, intimidation, aggression or coercion – intentional or otherwise – on the grounds of a characteristic for which legal protection exists. We set our standard high and do not tolerate inappropriate behaviour based on any personal characteristic whether legal protection exists or not.
For the sake of clarity, we will not tolerate the singling out of any individual for any direct or indirect reason including, but not limited to:
Age, race, ethnicity, health, religion, belief, gender – birth or adopted, sexual orientation, family status, parenthood status, weight, hair/eye colour, dress sense or personal style, skin tone, hours of work, contractual status. Our employees and workers are engaged because they are responsible adults who are able to understand and internalise our values. We have a zero-tolerance policy on behaviour which does not accord with our values and consequently breaches the respect, dignity or fairness in relation to others.
Our minimum standard is that all workers (employees, agency staff and contractors) conduct themselves and their duties in a manner which positively embraces the differences which exist within both society and the workplace and recognise the core value that a diverse, happy, engaged and discrimination and harassment-free workforce will deliver to our business success.
Note to Recruitment Agencies
QC Medica do not accept speculative CVs. We will only review CVs sent in application for an advertised post. Any unsolicited CVs received will be treated as the property of QC Medica and Terms & C onditions associated with the use of such CVs will be considered null and void.
Certain vacancies are NOT open to ANY agencies, regardless of their status. Vacancies advertised on our website refer to ‘direct applications only’.
Please never send us CVs unless we have explicitly requested your company specifically to do so in respect of a specific vacancy. We consider it “spoiling” – attempting to lay prior claim over a given candidate.
To be clear: any unsolicited CVs sent by your company to us – that is to say, in any situation where we have not directly engaged your company in writing to request you supply candidates for a specific vacancy – will be considered by us to be a “free gift”, leaving us liable for no fees whatsoever should we choose to contact the candidate directly and engage the candidate’s services, and will in no way establish any prior claim by your company to representation of that candidate should the candidate’s details also be submitted by any other party.
Submission of any unsolicited CVs to us by your company will be deemed evidence of full and unlimited acceptance by your company of these terms, and agreement by your company that these terms are the totality of any commercial or contractual relationship whatsoever between our companies in respect of the candidate(s) whose unsolicited CVs were thus sent.
